A New Day

Right then,
I’m back and I’ve just had my first day at my new job. I spent the morning doing paperwork, then followed Shad around. We went to court were i witnessed some kid getting charged with 4th degree burglary, then visited one of Shad’s clients, which coincidently, happens to be the brother of a former client of mine.

Strange.

Anyway, missing you all, already.

My thoughts are with you, Marty.

Snowmobile

In response to my rant about infrastructures and whatnot, Belfast City Council has introduced its newly developed Snow Handling Increase Transport to deal with the recent “arctic conditions”:

Snowmobile 1

Snowmobile 2

Apparently, Don Gregory was involved in the concept design.

Grinding To a Halt.

So much for escaping the wilds of Minnesota…

It’s funny though, cos I told Paschal it was “nothing”, and although it isn’t the “arctic conditions” CityBeat said the electricity workers had to slave through tonight, it has become more substantial over the night, and it’s the fattest, wettest, stickiest snow I’ve seen in a long time.

In truth, it really wouldn’t be that big a deal in Minnesota, but that’s because they have an infrastructure for it, whilst all I saw on the motorway tonight was a stationary plough and a cop van with the message “snow warning” (as if the big white things fluttering down all around weren’t warning enough).

Seems to me it’s not the only infrastructure Belfast is lacking. Ulsterbus, anyone?
