A blog for friends… and that’s about it.

God bless us… everyone.

Bout ye?

Just a little post to wish one and all a Merry Christmas.

I’ll see you all in two days.

P.S. Here’s what I did today, besides work:

Sledding 3

Moving on.

Just thought I’d let you know some good news.

I have a new job. I’ll be going on holiday to see you lot and not going back to my old job (making my last shift on Christmas Day) and when I return from Ireland, I’ll be starting as a Juvenile Probation Social Worker in Ramsey county (The county that St Paul is in).

It’s a slight cut in pay, but they pay for your phone and travel expenses (which you end up making money on, apparently) and there’s tuition reimbursement, great benefits etc.

It’s basically like landing a civil service job. In case you were wondering what I’ll be doing:

If some kid gets into difficulty with the law, they go to court and the judge gives them a laundry list of things to do to not have to go to juvey. I make sure they do what they’re supposed to, and help them with what they’ll need to do that.

Happy New Year

Thought this was the best place to post this, as no one reads my blog – but Gary, Paschal, Ronan and myself were chatting and thought it might be worth moving our New Year’s celebrations to Saturday 29th December to enable everyone to attend – and because it’s a Saturday we could probably go out somewhere instead of using someone’s house! Post below what you think of this marvelous idea.
