Power Songs

As you can probably see on the left sidebar, I have currently chosen Voodoo People to be my powersong.
I had little choice but to pick my own, as nobody took it seriously.

I don’t think I deserve such jokes about my new passion. What am I supposed to do during the lags, when my calves hurt and my slaphead sweats up?

Thanks for nothing, people!

Catch Up

I know, I know. I’ve been gone for too long, but here’s some news.

  1. I’m running a marathon in June. It’s called Grandma’s and I start training next week. Pursuant to my gadgetry fetish, I bought a Nike+ sensor, a glorified pedometer that attaches to my guties and records my pace, time and distance through my Ipod Nano. It also tells me when I’m halfway and so forth. I can upload it to a website and challenge other people to runs. So, if anyone wants to get a sensor and run with me across cyberspace…

You can also designate a “Power song” that plays when you hit the centre button, and can get you through the lags. As ridiculous and American as this is, you all know me, and know I’ll use it. Suggestions for my power song posted here please…

  2. I’m back in school and working on my final film, a short about deformed people in love (I know). Read the Alterations treatment (a paper that details the events of a movie, and is usually the step before a script), and see what you think of the idea.
  3. After having my finger up my arse for some time, I’ve finally locked the sound on my film 2, and it’s ready for distribution (i.e. sent to you lot). So, email me your address (the geographical one) if you think I might not have it (which is probably true for most of you) and you’d like a copy on dvd. You’ll also get all my other videos and hopefully even a copy of the film 3/4 that I co-wrote. Oh joy, lucky you.
  4. I don’t know what else is big. Let’s see, I’m really into Heroes, I’m reading a fantastic book called Stumbling on Happiness, Abby’s throat hurts as I’m typing this, I’m in the process of getting a crown that will cost me $400, I just did an online biology test for Abby (got one wrong, need to brush up on my protein structures), I love her as much as ever, and finally, I wish it wasn’t so frigging baltic as it is in Minnesota right now.
  5. Oh, I almost forgot. This last trip back was the hardest yet. I’m definitely starting to feel more homesick. What that means for the future, I don’t know but we’ll see.

There, that’ll do you for a while.
