Bit of good news. As most of you know I’m in film-school, but here’s a little more detail on how my classes work:
Right now, I’m in “SCRN 3-4″ and “Film 3-4″. It just so happens that SCRN 3-4 students go to the FILM 3-4 and VIDEO 3-4 students to pitch the short film they wrote last semester in SCRN 2. So basically, I had to go in with my screenwriting class and pitch a script to the film class that I’m also in. Weird.
Anyway, my film-buddy Jean, and I knew our half-hour long, ten major character scripts were never going to get picked up, so we wrote an even shorter one together, specifically for the film class.
And it got picked up yesterday, out of sixteen scripts! So, “Step Six“, our short film, will be shot this semester by my film-making class.
Have a read and see what you think. Some points: One page equals one minute, VO means voice over, OS means off screen. You’ll need Adobe Reader, but you probably have it. If you don’t, get it, it’s as prevalent as explorer these days.
