Worst Kept Secret

Hi all

Just to formally announce that despite my nutsack related drama a couple of years ago, Lynda is 15 weeks pregnant. So the little troupers still march in military fashion.

Needless to say we’re delighted. Might have another house party where we can put the blackboard out the back again and summarily ignore all the baby name suggestions attached thereon.

All jokes about red-headed babies and stern words with Paschal aside, we’re due in April.

Ain’t life like a box of chocolates?

Stephen Needs Your Encouragement

Not many of you will know this, but Stephen is currently toying with the idea of proposing to Abbey on her 24th birthday this Saturday.

He feels it is time to make the big step, but is worried that his ring won’t be good enough, or expensive enough, or that Abbey will say no and leave him hurt and humiliated.

I urge all of you to offer him your support in his time of need and help him to get through this period of self-doubt. I am sure that Stephen would love to hear all of your thoughts on the matter, feel free to leave a comment………

Happy 29th Birthday Stevie!

Just thought I would pop a quick post on the blog to wish Stevie a happy (almost 30th) birthday.

When I think of Stephen’s birthday I always think of the awful alcoholic concoction that Marty poured down his throat on the night of his 21st (?) birthday in The Elms. I’ll never forget the strange colour of green that Stephen turned before he promptly threw the whole lot back up again.

Funny, eight years later and he still can’t hold his drink!

What A Difference A Day Makes

…or seven hundred days, for that matter, maybe more.

Before I begin, let me explain that I was put up to this by Lisa. As all of you know, I don’t have a cruel bone in my body!

Now. Anyone who has been a visitor to the McGarry Ranch in Crumlin may have seen the following picture in our kitchen. Following Mr Wooftie’s visit to Northern Ireland, Lisa and I decided to update the picture circa 2005.

Anyway, while Wooftie was visiting, he gave us a short update on the status (statuses?) of his ex-girlfriends. Esther got married. Blocker’s getting married. Katie’s getting married…Etc. Etc. You get the drift.

“So, ” we asked ourselves, “What would that picture look like today?” Here you go:

So Long, Northern Ireland

Ah well. It’s been two lovely weeks in Northern Ireland. Unfortunately now I have to go home to America where everything is bigger and better. I’ll try to miss you all, but it’s probably going to be difficult.

See you again next year.
